SKN Machinery is not just a company—it's the legacy of a man whose heart was bigger than his business. In 1995, Ng Seng Kong, a humble yet determined man, founded SKN not to chase profit, but to meet a need when no one else would
It all began during one of Penang's most difficult times—a nine-day blackout that brought life and business to a standstill. While most waited for the power to return, he chose action over silence. He could not bear to see families suffer, shops shut down, and communities in darkness.
So, with only a truck and a relentless drive to help, he began a journey across states, day and night, without rest. He slept in his truck, ate whatever was quick and simple, and bought every gasoline generator he could find—regardless of brand, size, or profit margin.
He didn't ask for thanks. He didn't calculate margins. His mission was simple: bring power back to the people of Penang.
One by one, he delivered those generators to homes, small businesses, old folks' centers, and schools—anywhere that needed light. And in doing so, he didn't just restore electricity—he restored hope.
That journey became more than a moment of service. It became the foundation of SKN—a company that doesn't just sell products but stands beside its customers, especially in their most difficult moments.
Today, we carry forward that same spirit:
→ We take action when others wait.
→ We find solutions when others see problems.
→ And most importantly, we listen when others overlook.

But behind that calm smile is the same man who once drove across the country in a truck to keep a city from going dark. That photo isn't just a portrait—it's a reminder of the heart and soul behind SKN.
